Little Shoes, Strong Heart

The Children Day just has been celebrated. It was the festival for children all around the world. Yesterday I watched a film named The Children Of Heaven. This is the first film of Iran which had been nominated for best foreign-language film at Oscars. The children of heaven really moved me.

This is a story about poor people. Ali and Zahra are children from a very poor family. One day, Ali, the elder brother, lost his sister’s only one pair of shoes. When he was out of shopping for his sick mother and repaired the shoes for the sister, he lost them accidentally. Ali couldn’t find the shoes by all means, so he begged his sister not to tell their parents. the two cute and poor children know that their parents can’t afford a pair of new shoes.

Then during the following days, the little sister wears Ali’s shoes to school. After she is off school, she returns his brother’s shoes and then Ali goes to school. Therefore, Ali has to run to school with a fast speed from being late. Then one day, he notices that the third prize of a running race is a pair of new sport shoes. Ali decides to participate in that race to win a pair of shoes for his sister……

This film makes me understand that poverty is not horrible. Hope and happiness will come finally, if we keep the positive attitude toward life. Ali’s childhood may be unfortunate. Life gives poverty to him. However, life also gives him the courage to fight against poverty.

Changing

Life always has many things to bring you down. But, what can really bring you down is your attitude. A sentence of a book really impressed and inspired me:” Yesterday is gone, shake off the dust and move on. Don't let the past steal your future. Bring your very best today.”

Everyday I wake up with ambition. I want to make each day of my life count. In fact, most of us are expecting some changes in our life. For example, we are over eating. Some of us are heavy smokers. Some of us need more outdoor exercise. We are doing the jobs we don’t like. We spent too much on shopping and saved too little.

My first change in this week is: go to bed earlier. I usually went to sleep until very late. I spent too much time on internet. Recently, I realized that this is a bad habit which may ruin my health. Therefore, I decide to read something instead of surfing on internet before I go to my bed.

This morning when I wake up, I feel pretty good because I slept tight last night. It is wonderful that every day we make a little bit change in our life.

Enjoy Reading

If you are a man who always feels anxious, then reading can take your stress away. If you are a man who is trapped in loneliness, then reading will be your friend who will make your mind full of happiness. If you are a man who hates life, then reading will enrich your mind.

There are so many books in the world that it is impossible for anyone to read all of them, even if he spends his whole life in reading. So we must choose the right book to read. We can absorb intelligence and wisdom, and we can also be taught lessons from it.

People often say that gold and silver are the most valuable things in the world, but I don’t think so. In my humble opinion, reading is more valuable than anything else.

Books are our teachers, they teach us truth、science、literature and philosophy of life. Besides, reading books can increase our knowledge, enlarge our experience, strengthen our character and even lead us down the road to success.

 

No one can live a meaningful life without hope. Where can we obtain the energy of hope? Yes, you got it! It’s from reading! Reading can not give you the whole ocean, it will give you a drop of clean water; Reading can not give you a heaven, it will give dreams; Reading can not give you a sun, it will give you hopes. With the hopes reading brings, we will have a heart-healthy、active and upward.

The Review on Le Hérisson: Never Too Late To Love (2)

In my last post, I have already given the brief introduction of Le Hérisson. Through the camera of an 11 year old girl, she gave her insightful observations of her parents and neighbors. Like I said before, Le Hérisson means the elegance of hedgehog.

Among all the characters in the film, Renee, a 54 year old resident janitor of the building, impressed me deeply.

She is exactly like a hedgehog that few people pay attention to her. Renee had a very plain and quite life. She didn’t care about her appearance, never be intimate to others.

However, after she closed the door of her room, we see a quiet different world of Renee. She is a very elegant woman who reads lots of books and has insightful opinion on many literatures.

Before she meet that Japanese man who newly moved in, no one knows her secrets. She refuses and afraid to expose her inner world to others. She is afraid to fall in love with that Japanese man. In the end, when she finally convinced herself to be ready for a new life with that man she loves, a car accident took her life a way.

The end of this film is quite tragedy. In the end of the film, Renee died peacefully. And there is a sentence below: never too late to love.

The Review on Le Hérisson: Never Too Late To Love (1)

To most people, hedgehog is not an ideal pet as it doesn’t like cat or dog which can please their owner. In fact, hedgehog is a strange but ultimately beautiful creature. 

Yesterday, I watched a film named Le hérisson. It is written by Muriel Barbery. Le hérisson means the elegance of the hedgehog.

The story happens in an upper class building. Through the camera of an 11 year old girl, she gave her insightful observations of her parents and neighbors. This movie is like a philosophy of life which inspired me a lot, especially about the attitude of love.

Among all the characters in the novel, Renee, a 54 year old resident janitor of the building, impressed me deeply.

The Night of Qingdao (2)

The night of Qingdao Island is colorful. When the nightfall slightly approches, the city is lighted up.

When the sun sets and the night falls, stalls light up the lamps and burns the charcoal — everything is prepared: tables and chairs are arranged outside by the street and draught beers are also ready.

I was slowly walking along the beach. The neo signs light up the city and make it colorful just like a wonderland.

All I need to do is stop and enjoy the beautiful night. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience and if it hurts,it's probably worth it.

The Night of Qingdao (1)

Happiness is not about being immortal nor having food or rights in one's hand. It’s about having each tiny wish come true, or having something to eat when you are hungry or having someone's love when you need love.

I love the summer night of Qingdao. Qingdao is a romantic seaside city. It is located on the south facing coast of the Shandong Peninsula. Qingdao has a temperate, four-season, monsoon-influenced climate. 

The night of Qingdao is so beautiful that makes a lot of tourists do want to leave. Summer in Qingdao is generally hot and humid, but very hot days are rare, with an August average of 25.3 °C.
